Beginning Violin, Private

Class Description

Beginning violin lessons are offered via one-on-one instruction. Beginning lessons focus on gaining familiarity with the instrument, proper bow hold and stance, as well as beginning music fundamentals. Students will learn the names of all parts of the instrument and will begin to acquire basic skills in playing the instrument properly ensuring good technique.

Dr. Michael Schneider has played violin for 35 years. He was an Texas All-State Violinist, Concertmaster of All-Region Orchestra, and was named Outstanding Performer on Violin at Texas All-State UIL Competition. He was awarded a violin scholarship to study Violin Performance at Texas Christian University and was a 6-year member of the first violin section of San Angelo Symphony. He has also coached and worked with numerous string players, chamber ensembles, and chamber orchestras.
